Saturday part two.................

How i love my coffee shops...............found a lovely one today whilst out and about............The apricot and almond scone was delicious.The coffee wasn't bad either,definitely one to return to.

Went to see this today.................................very good............especially when watched with children.........at last i have enjoyed some sunshine,much needed,definitely gives you the feel good factor although more rain forecast for sunny Devon tomorrow i believe.

That time of year.................

Its that time of year again,Spring cleaning............thought i,d treat myself to some help.............a new vacuum cleaner ...........you have to be practical sometimes lol........

 Thought i,d get an expert to test it out first,he dosent look too happy,but was actually loving it,i didnt get a look in...........                                                            

The Weekend...............

  Just back from a lovely weekend away..............stayed here a lovely 17th centry pub,complete with beams and squeeky floors.......perfect.

   Went down this famous hill...........

 then found this little beauty in my favourite colour.All in all a brilliant weekend.......

Tuesday part 2

Well,what an interesting day,i love learning new things.Haiku,the Japanese art of poetry came to my attention today .What a fascinating subject.Poems,that are usually about nature are written in three lines with 7 syllables in the first line.then 5,then 7 again.A huge subject,i will definitely find out more about this,maybe have a go myself.Meanwhile,here is one i read earlier......................

Here is a recipe for some yummy Almond Granola Bars for when you are feeling peckish...............................

1. 75 gms sunflower seeds,50 gms sesame seeds,125gms almonds,roughly chopped,100gms butter,100gms,soft brown sugar,2tblsps honey,150gms oats.  
2. Heat the butter,sugar and honey in a pan until mixed.Add the oats,nuts and seeds.Press into 6in by 8in lightly greased tin.Cook for 20-25 mins,Gas 5.Mark into squares,then cool before cutting.
3. Best enjoyed with a cup of coffee and a good friend...............
